OUR MISSION
The purposes of the Geneva High School Sports Boosters is" To promote, sponsor, supplement, improve, and financially support, through contributions, interscholastic athletics within the High School athletic programs of Community Unit School District No. 304,
Kane County, Illinois, including the solicitation of funds and sales of products and foods for the purpose of the betterment of
high school sports programs.

The Spiritwear webstore is underconstruction. We are updating it
with all the new inventory of items and plan to have it functioning soon.
GHS Spiritwear may be purchased at all home Football games,
5:30pm to 8:30pm at the football field - under the HOME bleachers.

Booster Scholarship Applications Due Saturday, April 27, 2013
Applications for the 2012-2013 All-Sports Boosters Scholarship are now available on our Forms page. In order for your senior student
to be eligible, they must print out and complete the application and postmark it no later than Saturday, April 27. The scholarship
recipients will be announced at the Annual Awards Assembly in May.

Varsity dance team are state champions again
The varsity dance team won its third state championship at the Team Dance Illinois State Championship on March 6 in Peoria. The girls
took first in the Lyrical Dance AA category, beating out three other teams for the top honor. TribLocal has the full story which you

A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to GHS All Sports Boosters for 2011-2012. The success of the GHS All Sports Boosters lies within the many volunteers and
sponsors who provide continued support for our athletes, coaches and GHS sports staff. I am proud to be a part of GHS All Sports
Boosters for the past 6 years and honored to be the President for this school year. It's truly a pleasure and privilege to work with
such a great group of people and to provide our student athletes with so many wonderful opportunities to be involved.
GHS All Sports Boosters is an extension of the GHS athletic program and supports the mission to enhance the physical, social and
moral development of GHS students. Athletics provides an opportunity for the entire student body, staff and parents to exhibit school
loyalty and develop a sense of belonging. Supporting GHS athletics is also a wonderful way to socialize, meet new friends and have
fun. GHS All Sports Boosters is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the athletic experience. Since 1999, the
All-Sports Boosters have contributed over $475,000 to the athletic program towards EVERY Geneva Viking sport!
There is no time like the present to get involved and share the GHS athlete experience. Whether you have a freshman or senior, the
time you contribute and the people you meet are priceless. I encourage every parent to become a VALHALLA, VARSITY CLUB or REGULAR
or ALUMNI MEMBER and get involved in many of the events: corn boil, concessions, trivia night, annual auction, shamrock shootout, or

Volunteering is the single most important step you can take as a member of the All Sports Boosters. Without your help and support we
would not be able to hold such events as Trivia Night, Corn Boil, Shamrock Shootout and our Yearly Auction. There are several
opportunities to help! Please visit the members page and tell us your interests, we'd love to here from you.
GHS All Sports Boosters are currently looking for the following Chairperson positions for 2011-2012:
1. Parent Rep Chair to assist with the coordination and contact ALL team sports as requested. Each team sport has been asked to
identify a 1 or 2 parents from each level Varsity & JV/Soph/Freshman. The responsiblity of the team parent reps is to coordinate
volunteers withing there sport for all concessions of that same sport. The Parent Rep Chair is asked to contact the Parent Rep for
each sport to ensure they have the proper volunteers and ensure there is coverage for any of our concessions events for that sport.
EXAMPLE: The Parent Rep Chair may be asked to contact the Soccer parent reps and ensure we have volunteers to work concessions
during each of the home games. The Parent Rep Chair is a vital part of our concessions and success.
2. 50/50 Chair to assist with the coordination and execution of the 50/50 raffle as designated for sporting events. The raffle
tickets are sold by one of our desingationed sport teams such as LaCrosse or Chear Leaders etc. The Chair would be working with the
parent rep of that sport and help execute the raffle on behalf of the GHS All Sports Boosters for 2011-2012.
If you are interested in volunteering, but not sure of a Chairperson role, please contact any one of the 2011-2012 Board Members. We
appreciate all of the help!
APPROPRIATIONS
Any appropriation requests or questions about past allocations should be directed to Mr. Jim Kafer, Athletic Director in the GHS
Athletic Office.
$3,000 – Wrestling Mat
$2,000 – Football Sled
$1,000 – Net for outdoor batting cage for softball (if the GBA does not come through)
$20,000-25,000 – Indoor upgrades to Mack Olson Gym (scoreboards, padding) and Contest Gym (curtains, padding, scoreboards)
These projects would be funded as a partnership with the Athletic Department funds.
$10,000 – If available, money spent on as needed basis for specific sports needs.
